This weekend was special.  The end and start of an era at the newspaper, meandering through the mountains with three of my favorite people in the world, nesting in grass and peeling oranges, falling in love with bushes and quotes and dirt, seeing and loving the beauty of the nature around me, crying at the beauty of the world, swimming in strawberry canyon, learning about myself, sunshine, and making beautiful decisions. I sat and swung on a swing above the world that I know as my home today and looked out with my roommate as we saw the complexity of the universe and the importance of the people in our lives today.  The year coming to a close is going to be an emotional one.  Leaving this room will mean more than just moving, but leaving a space that led me to camp under the stars on ring mountain and say the havdala on the roof of castro. To fall in love with bon iver and to find a family at the newspaper.  To ask myself what would wiz khalifa do and to find trees that look like elephants. To have calendar unveilings and candle ceremonies, to expand my mind and eat endless brunches.  To sneak into stadiums and to be covered in paint. This room and this city have given me adventures and best friends that will make taking down my pictures and packing up my clothes one of the hardest things I could do.  I know this summer we are all off to adventures and will come back with new appreciations and stories to tell but for the time being I have this room and these relationships and a weekend of moments that seemed to cherish them all.
